Jack checks the opening for triggers or trip wires then if all looks clear and with his burglars lantern in one hand drops the short distance onto the bone strewn floor. (Oops. Following the shrunken Firbolg.)

Jack slips from the shadows towards the closest hatch (a). Having already checked for traps he cautiously tries to open the strange snake shaped portal. Twisting, pushing or sliding in several directions; all the time ready to dive away from danger.

Somewhere deep within a dark hood an eyebrow is raised slightly.
Jack slips into a shadowy corner to watch the proceedings until he’s needed again.

Jack is unsure about letting the monsters prod and poke the trap. “What if it spews out enough… gas say to fill the chamber up over our heads? I’m happy to investigate further if you think it will help?”

Jack begins an arms length inspection in an attempt to discover possible traps on the four ‘levers’.

Jack flits around the perimeter of the snaky chamber, taking full advantage of any shadows for cover and padding on nearly silent feet. He’s looking for exits or anything that piques his curiosity. He will not touch anything until he has investigated it first.

Jack shrugs, relieved that no one is dying…just yet…
He hops on the chain and lowers himself down.

Jack does a rapid calculation of how much damage an Ogre zombie would do falling 300’ onto a giant snake….

Turning to whoever controls the beast he suggests telling it to take a dive. “I’ll find you a new one.”
