In game,

Landro grits his teeth. He knows he signed up for this, but hearing the phrase sends a shudder down his minimized spine.

Landro decides to stay at 6-feet-tall, opting to let the effect wear off on its own unless he needs to be big again.
He grips his sword and watches the corners and shadows for signs of foes.

OOC: Yeah, did a die roll at Unseen Servant. It was quite bad! At first I was excited by the natural 20...
Landro's Dex is 11.

So he will shrink down to 6 feet in height in order to fit through.

"I would appreciate any help, but I'm also okay with being the vanguard of this leg of exploration," Landro says cheerfully. "Also, I can reduce myself about once a day, so I'll happily use that to squeeze through here. But it's a one-way trip for me, at least until tomorrow where I ...

"That looks like a tight fit for me," 9-foot-tall Landro says. "But I think I can squeeze through."

He offers to go first but would be happier if it were checked for traps.

"Yes, 'Eau de Morte' is not my favorite fragrance either," the giant mumbles in agreement.

Landro narrows his eyes and draws and brandishes his immense weapon from his back: it seems to be twice as large as a regular two-handed sword.
"I'll keep guard. Statues come to life sometimes." He stays where he is but watches to see if anyone needs assistance.

Landro nods twice. He checks first to see if the ladder can hold his weight. If so, he starts climbing down the ladder...

Landro smiles at the camaraderie, then focuses again on the snakes below.

A very tall human approaches the scene, looking to be around 9 feet in height. He quickly explains that he heard the party was looking for fighters, and caught up.

"I am Landro," the tall, mustachioed fighter says. He looks down at the snakes and has already shifted into business mode.

Whoops, yeah, that makes sense. Seemed like too good a deal. Definitely I'll take the +4
