Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"This seems like a familiar group," Echo says in amusement. "We're ready."
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"Good," Hollidan states. "Then I guess the first order of business is to figure out which way to go. Three doors to the north, and that weird tunnel to the east. Any ideas?"

"Maybe the tunnel first?" Echo suggests. "It is the only open passageway at the moment, and if there is something down there it is possible that it could use the open tunnel to get to the pilgrims," she explains.
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"I was thinking the same thing," Gimog says.
"Of course the dwarf wants to go into a tunnel," Nuvain says flippantly.
"Don't you start," Gimog grumbles, pointing at Nuvain with mock annoyance.
"Hmm, looks pretty narrow. We'll have to go in single file. I should probably go first, in case there is something crawling in there," Hollidan states, rubbing his chin.

"Or," Echo says. "We can send Keet ahead to scout a little bit," she points out.
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" asks Hollidan. "I'm still a little skeptical about his abilities. And trustworthiness."

"He saved my life, so that proves his worth to me," Echo points out.
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"All right then, send him in," Hollidan says. The group approaches the tunnel, and as Hollidan stated earlier, it's fairly narrow. Usually no more than five feet wide at any given point.

"Go on Keet," Echo says. "Scout ahead for us, and come running back if you find anything. We will be a few feet behind you."
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"Right..," the kobold says, taking a deep breath and puffing up his chest. "Keet can do this. Keet can totally do this." Pulling the hood of his cloak over his head, he starts to tip toe forward into the tunnel, vanishing into the darkness silently.

"We don't want to mess up his vision," Echo says to the others. "So give him a little bit, and then we can follow after him."
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
A few moments later, the kobold reemerges from the shadows. "Way is clear," he says, relief is evident upon his reptilian face. "Tunnel moves north, then turns west."

Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
Echo gives Keet a nod of approval then turns to Hollidan. "Then I guess we move on. Do you want to do this like last time, or do you want to get a torch before moving on?" she asks.
Re: CH. 4: Temple of Baerin
"We don't know what we're up against this time," Hollidan says. "So I'll take a torch. If you have suggestions on a marching order, I'm all ears, though."

"You should be up front with Keet," Echo suggest. "He can scout ahead for us. I'll stay behind you, then Nuvain can be behind me, and Gimog can take up the rear," she suggests.
