The next one? The next module? Yeah, I just bought it a few weeks ago. I also have DL4 in PDF form.
The entire game (all three books) focuses on the war--the War of the Lance. So there's always pressure to do what needs to be done before the forces of evil win the war and take over the world. This game is a far cry from anything resembling a sandbox. There is still a time limit, though. In the next module, for instance, there's a time limit to how long Verminaard can reorganize his troops, track you down, and wipe out all of the refugees. That time limit is longer since you guys destroyed the front gate of Pax Tharkas, however. If the party fails to complete their objectives before that time limit, then all of the refugees will die.
Dragons of Hope (DL3) and Dragons of Desolation (DL4) finish off Dragons of Autumn Twilight (the first book), and both focus heavily on keeping the refugees safe and finding a place for them to hide.
I'm not sure what you mean by exploration, Breila. Do you mean...just go wherever you want, do whatever you want, like in Lost Souls? Then the answer is no. I mean, you guys can do that...but then when the time limit is up, bad things happen (like all the refugees dying). There is exploration on a smaller scale; like exploring dungeons and such, though. While the entire game has taken place in Abanansinia so far (and that isn't going to change until Dragons of Winter Night, really), the third and fourth modules do bring us to a different part of that area.
