Will send the character sheet to [email scrubbed]. What should I do next?
I'm looking forward to playing again. Forgive me if I don't understand a pun or another (after all, English is not my native language and my longest stay in Anlgo-Saxon lands was six weeks). Also, I'm not familiar with Dragonlance, these books are extremely hard to come by in Germany. So we'll certainly have a laugh or two.

There's more to me than meets the eye...
Re: New Game Starting: The Pod-Caverns of the Sinister Shroo
I believe Jenara is referencing The Lone Ranger, which rhymes with The Gnome Ranger.
So now 2/3 of my party isn't all that familiar with Dragonlance? Maybe I should have chosen a different setting. Ah, well. I'm not being too much of a stickler on the setting, since the module is mostly just a dungeon crawl anyway.
In Dragonlance, most gnomes live in a massive hollowed out mountain called Mt. Nevermind. They are generally mad scientists, of sorts, who love to tinker and invent. They speak very fast and have long, often unpronounceable names. Their machines are rather notorious for not functioning 50% of the time and backfiring (and often bringing harm to anyone in the vicinity) the other 50% of the time.
Of course, before you feel the need to rewrite your entire backstory, let me re-emphasize that this is the case with most gnomes. There are always a few who break the mold.
As a ranger, your gnome likely reveres Habbakuk, a good-aligned god often associated with animals and nature. She likely did not grow up at Mt. Nevermind, and other gnomes would probably think she was a little weird...but you're not likely to encounter other gnomes, so that might not come up at all.
So I'll approve your character, and you can start posting at will. The party hasn't actually entered the caverns yet, so now is a good time to bump into them and join them before they get there.

Yeah sorry, I didn't realise, The Lone Ranger was the reference.
There have to be Gnomes that don't spend all day in Mt. Nevermind.. or even been there!

Re: New Game Starting: The Pod-Caverns of the Sinister Shroo
There it goes... while I have heard about the lone ranger somewhere, I've never seen the TV series (I grew up mostly without TV, and in Germany and Algeria). But the French comic book series Lucky Luke seems to run along the same lines...Jenara wrote:Yeah sorry, I didn't realise, The Lone Ranger was the reference.
@ JadedDM: I'll change a trifle in the bio and appearance to match the background info about Dragonlance gnomes. You'll see it in the posts - once I have clearance to start posting elsewhere than here.

Oh, right approval. I keep forgetting about that. And how to do that. Let me just tinker around here...
*fifteen minutes later*
Okay, I think I figured it out. You should be allowed to post in the game forum now. *wipes black soot from face and sweat from brow*

Re: New Game Starting: The Pod-Caverns of the Sinister Shroo
Hi,
I would love to join the game, if there is room (spoke to Jen and she suggested I post a concept)
Jerrard Foss, Human Male, 2nd lvl fighter / 3rd lvl red robed wizard.
Jerrard spent his early years in Palanthas as a scribe, his parents thought he should join the city guard, he didn't want to fight..
He still pursued his love, books, he found a latent for magic, declaring his intent to take the red robes at the age of 25.
His master has heard of the troubles at the caverns...
Alignment would probably be Lawful Neutral...

Wow, dual-classed, eh? Never had one of those before. Okay, go ahead and send me a character sheet (email scrubbed) and I'll let you in.
