Imani looks to Syriana curiously as if trying to judge her reaction on this whole situation. "What do you want to do?" she asks. She knows the girl has never really had a choice in her life, but now she was presented with one that she would have to make on her own.

Indeed, the young woman, only a girl of fifteen, has never been given a choice herself. And now she is expected to decide her ultimate fate? Syriana just shakes her head, baffled by the whole situation. "I...I don't know," she admits. How can she decide what she wants, when she has no context of what any life outside slavery is?

Imani lets out a small sigh and looks over the group that helped them get to this point. "I don't believe that they are going to harm her," she finally says. "They worship her. She'll be safe, and away from Mehmet."

Babushka nods. "And as Karkat has so brilliantly pointed out, we are unlikely to survive without his help. We have already proven that, more or less. So I suggest we take his offer of help. Where was it again that we planned to go when we left the old mine, Imani?"

"There were a couple of villages, some ancient ruins, and a mine," Imani says. "If we plan on stocking up on supplies, then I would suggest the village that is ruled by the Khur."

Karkat leads the two groups a bit away from the temple, as its presence makes everyone fairly nervous. There they set up camp and rest, with plans to depart first thing in the morning.
