The year is 2000, on our own planet. Earth. Things took a very dramatic turn 200 years prior to our adventure. The elements somehow became enraged. Sending waves of water rushing inland, summoning sudden and horrible earthquakes. Volcanos erupted across the world, lighting forest on fire. And the wind came crashing across the planet, forming torandos and hurricanes. If the elements weren't harsh enough, bandits have become rapists, murders and have commited other vile acts in a time where humanity should be fighting together for survival. Now humans stand at a mere 25,000. On the brink of extinction. But, in this land of chaos and saddness. Something sturs in Balise, a small hamlet in where central Sweden would be now. Alysan Clos, Leader of the guard calls for those strong enough to stand up and fight for the once great race. Who will answer the call?

This is a 3.5 game set in a non magical world. So no magic, Only humans. Classes aswell as other rules are specificed in the rules section of "2 Steps from Death"

Current team includes.
Hazel Nightstalker, a female scout.

This is a 3.5e Adventure, one I like the idea of myself.

It might be good to mention the race restrictions anything else the players might need to know.

Id be interested. I was wondering if you would allow the samurai class?
A young boy who is now in possession his fathers "ceremonial" swords, the training his father gave him and a book on the tenants of Bushido who struggles to keep alive an ancient family tradition.

Are we starting right after the cataclysm, years after or generations after?

This is a 3.5 game, all available classes are in the rule section. The game itself takes place roughly 200 years after the initial attack.

I've been playing Neverwinter Nights, a monk character, so I got an idea for a similar character. But before you consider letting me join, I should be upfront with you.

My experience with 3E is very minimal. What I know I mostly learned from video games (like NWN and DDO) and webcomics (Order of the Stick and Goblins). I was in a 3E game once--I played a Human Noble 4/Fighter 4/Legendary Tactician 1 in a Dragonlance game (I was Derek Crownguard, actually) but the DM pretty much built the character for me and I only made one die roll before the game fell apart, sadly (and it was a Knowledge, Nobility and Royalty check at that!)

I can access the SRD but have no books at all. So if you don't mind a little handholding, especially in terms of character creation and leveling up, I can give it a shot. If you're only looking for more experienced players or you feel you have enough at the moment, that's fine, too.
