Renwick ignores the cream, but stuffs a spare longsword behind his back.He will suport the rope for the gobbo, and also tie one end off in case he gets antsy and decides to slide down into whatever exciting new catastrophe emerges
Re: Down They Go? - Everyone
When all's ready GG has a listen down the hole and if nothing untoward gives a thumbs up then points down for the others to start feeding the rope for his descent.
The half-elf squints downwards for anchor points in case he needs a Web to break his fall. 'Must try and learn Feather Fall,' he muses.

"I think the cream will not serve us, but would enable drows to infiltrate lighter skin tone population. They might have done so in this town. The houses should be warned."

Broggdar
Steps into the area around the downward tunnel and casts Light on the head of his axe.
I am told the Drow do not fight well in the light of Day. My people have been fighting that fight for a long time. Filthy Dirt Elves. Killing my family was the last straw. It is time to put a Grudge in the Book of Grudges. Today the Drow have made an enemy they will not soon forget. By Clanggedin Silverbeard, I swear this Blood oath. The Drow will pay for the crimes they have committed against me, Pay with their Blood.
He walks around the room steaming like a caged rat.

Adrik will go down next and join Broggar.
Re: Down They Go? - Everyone
Ok, so GG is the first down the rope, with Adrik and Renwick holding it.
GG can finally start to see ground as he nears the end of the first rope.
Let's get a slight of hand, and a dex saving throw to simulate adding another rope, with either a knot or a adding a piton to the wall and tying off.
Let's get a STR save from the guys holding, with adv from both.

Renwick holds
===
str on rope [1d20]=19, [1d20]=18
+4 if just str, +7 if str(acrobatics)
so 23 or 26

The first rope is held fast. Now to see if the second rope will be tied of successfully.
Re: Down They Go? - Everyone
GG looks around to assess how deep the hole is so far.
======
OOC: We're using a 300' sik rope & grapple (on GG's char sheet) with a lop double tied on the bottom for a pair of feet to go into (GG's at the moment)

Re: Down They Go? - Everyone
[do you need another roll from one of us?]
Re: Down They Go? - Everyone
Oh 300'.
=================
Ok, so no dex check needed.
As GG hits the 50' mark, the bottom comes into sight, just at the edge of his vision.
====================================================
Ok, to confirm, he is being lowered rather than toss the rope and climb?
If that is the case, if he warns the group about the floor coming into view, another round of Athletics(STR) checks please.

GG calls upwards, "Floor, 60' to go."
