OOC: Linar believes Good relates to the well being of the civilised community. Goblins kill members of the civilised community and are not of it themselves. Three goblins now will beget six goblins within one generation of the human race, easily outbreeding them.
Killing a captured evil, uncivilised creature one would have thought is more an issue of Law versus Chaos. On this basis, Linar is unconcerned and is merely echoing the ingrained tendencies of his diety Corellon, also CG, (whose principle enemy is Gruumsh, CE, senior deity of orcish folk).

The foregoing assumes that we are still applying Gygaz ethics in that goblin green is bad and evil and is to be eradicated rather then current day RL politcal correctness. If the latter applies then I'm gone. Elsewise am happy to take GM instruction on his world's interpretation of Good.
This is a genuinely big deal for me.

"That sounds all fine and such but remember these orcs will not hesitate to end your life. They are like a rock in a shoe that turns into a knife in your back. They are little use to us now and we are causing considerable trouble for ourselves trying to track this rabble to a guard outpost where they may very well kill them on sight. My vote is to end them and give carrion crawlers something to fill their bellies besides us. We don't have supplies to feed them either. We must be practical and such about all this."

"We could always just take their weapons and send them outside. What will they do to us without weapons, and if anything they can spread our legend so it is easier to scare the next lot."

Linar nods at Nocturno's suggestion and then looks at Katten for her take on it.

"This is acceptable." Katten answers with a wary look. "If we go on. I get Dran. Not leave him." She glares at the Creatures and turns, returning to where she left Dran.

[Ooc]Sorry it took longer than normal for me to get back to everyone on this. Had a trip last weekend and less free time than I expected to post. It looks lile good pc RP/discussion though ^_^ [/ooc]

The orcs seem concerned at some of the discussion going back and forth. Finally the more talkative one blurts out in common. You keep weapons, let us go. We go far far from here. Ossunin never forgive, we go far enough maybe too much trouble for him to punish us for failure... He offers, the other orcs quickly begin nodding in agreement

I would think that Linar, of all people, would understand the concept that not all of one race is 'evil' or 'good' being a non-traditional Drow himself...

Also this isn't combat anymore, which the PCs in fact initiated, these are fully restrained and basically cooperating humanoids who surrendered.

Katten has said her piece, she wants to let them leave without weapons so she has gone to collect Dran.

With the majority agreed, the weapons are collected and the orcs released. The now unarmed humnoids make hasty exit in the direction the party first entered; the last making assurances to them that they intend to go far away and trouble this region no more.

[What would the party like to do next?]

FIndalsip gathers his belongings he had pulled out and repacks them. He prays to Smoothhands that the group's decision will not cause a catastrophic breakdown in the future leaving them stuck. "My vote is too find what they were looking for further beyond this cavern. We should be on out guard though. We will need a guide for Cousin Jordek though."

While Katten is collecting Dran Linar moves silently as he can further in to scout the place a little more taking full advantage of his superior darkvision. He pauses intermittantly to listen intently.

OOC: Happy for this to be rolled up narratively rather than round by round which might take a while

Findalsip satisfied that Nocturno can help escort moves up to Linar's position "I'd hate for you to miss something in the cavern" in a prankish tone.
