The broken Wheel: Exterior: (Cross, Esker, Iscind, Gregor)

Iscind and Esker examine the hillside but it is difficult to trace the path to it's origin at the top. There may be other clues at the top, but it would necessitate a wider search up there. Gregor and Cross tag along with the rangers.

The Broken Wheel: Interior: (Karl, Mira, Pyros, Del, Elsa, Jerry, Merrick)

Mira orders the whisky, which draws a temporarily surprised look from the bartender that quickly becomes understanding. The drink comes quickly and Pyros downs his. Azi takes a small sip but Airand waves his away. Thanks, but not just now. I'll take you up on that after we kill this... creature. his mouth twists the last word like a curse.

Del, Jerry, Merrick and Elsa make their way inside the Broken Wheel to find the others. It becomes pretty obvious that there has been some sort of fight, and Pyros is obviously bloodied with tears in his clothing and armor. Del orders some food as she inquires about the recent altercation. Mira reveals tbe story of the barman and Merrick blinks in surprise. From... the Old Kartakan? he asks quietly. Those don't exactly look like weapon injuries... What happened?

Let's get you fixed up, since you can't stay out of trouble. Maybe a change of clothes too. Elsa adds, stern concern plain on her face despite her chiding.

"I'll fill you in when we get to the room."
Pyros will scoop up any shots not taken as he walks by, and down them. Hoping to get rid of this pain in his side.

He will fill in anyone that comes to the room in detail, trying to leave out embellishments.

"I think I should go speak with Haldrake. We seemed to have a good conversation yesterday."

Once in the room with the door closed, while listening to the tale Jerry checks the folks out for severity of their wounds.

Esker Manyblades

Esker turns back to face Iscind, "Difficult terrain to judge here. I say we move further and see what we can find."

Jerry says yo Pyros, "Hold still a moment, please," and casts a curative spell on him. Seeing the wound close she continues, "How's that feel now?" as she checka again on Pyros's well-being*. Keeping the conversation going she continues, "So tell me about the argument, or disagreement, in the bar. Whio said, or did, wha*t* to whom?"

"The Bartender at the Inn wasn't the one Pyros was expecting, he was one of them. He tried playing a trick on Gregor and when he didnt fall for it picked him up and threw everyone out." Mira explains, "We went to see where the Berry bushes are and I heard a song, a fiddle like Jacques, he tried to do something but I managed to fight against it. We ended up in a fight as he turned into a wolf, hurt Pyros and we had to do all we could but we killed him." She sighs. "We left the body in the bushes and came back here." that done Mira collapses on the bed, not caring who's it is.

"I have no spells left, and I... we killed someone, I hate it, I really hate it, all this killing and hurting." She sighs, head into the sheets.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."

"There seems to be something peculiar about this world and music such as this," comments Jerry. "If I recall correctly, the gypsy woman that spoke to me, weirdly as I was arriving here, had something of music about her. Might be there's a common thread there but I can't quite see it at the moment." She busies herself for a moment checking Pyros for injury. "Tell me, did the wolf-barman-creature bite any of you?"

"Bite? I mean he almost ate me..."

Pyros pokes at his ribs, fingers going through the teeth holes in his armour.

"Well, if he clawed you, it hurts. But bites, they can give you a nasty disease," says Jerry. "Reputedly, anyway."

Iscind

Iscind nods and follows Esker, ever watchful and not nearly as confident as he that they will find something.

"Well, let me know if there are any changes. For example, you lose your clothes. Or if any of your parts shrivel and drop off," she replies, trying to impress the importance on the normally unimpressavle fellow.

The broken Wheel: Exterior: (Cross, Esker, Iscind, Gregor)
Esker and Iscind agree to bypass the task of directly following the difficult hillside tracks in favor of wider but hopefully less complicated terrain above. Cross and (presumably) Gregor follow along curiously as the rangers ascend the 40 degree rise into the grassy back yards above. Once to the semi-natural plateau, they find no curious locals about in the private areas between the rear-side of the shops and residences here. It is clear another well-used road lies just beyond the buildings, and no local observers seem to be in the eye-line to interrupt or challenge their efforts.
[Tracking each from Esker and Iscind. Let's call it a -2 to the nwp attempt since they are covering a wider area now at the top of the hill. If Gregor has any ideas on how to assist you can make a case for those as well.]

The Broken Wheel: Interior: (Karl, Mira, Pyros, Del, Elsa, Jerry, Merrick)
Airand nods, understandingly, as the others peel off with Pyros to see to his wounds. He turns back to the Knight and rather bluntly remarks, Have you ever killed one of these? The blood-drinkers? His eyes brook no evasion and bear an intensity that reminds one of the fires of youthful over-reaction. Or even fought one? I know you're a soldier, or whatever, but this thing needs to die. And all I need is to know how to make that happen. Nearby, Azais has folded up into a nearby booth, curled upon herself and sobbing.

As the clerics escort Pyros upstairs for healing, Elsa reaches out and touches Del's arm as well. Come on. Whatever we learn we'll want your perspective on this too since, like it or not, we're all kind of tied together now. The staff will wait until you return to bring the food. she says with a smile, only dampened by her concern for the injured. Once upstairs Pyros begins his recounting as the clerics minister to his injuries; miraculously closing all of his wounds in moments! Elsa hands him a spare blouse with wavy frills in the front, but she grins at him and mutters something about Pirates and great adventurers wearing such things. It may be a little big on you, but your old shirt is bloody enough anyone would think you had come from the butcher. She half jests, half scolds.

Jerry inquire further regarding the details and the conversation goes on. [Are Mira or Pyros mentioning the strange list of names they found in the Ledalar's pockets afterwards?]

Pyros will for sure.

He will then want to go see Haldrake, unless someone stops him.
