Re: Assemble a team... (geeky)

Hmm. Dr. Strange, Goku, and Batman. Magic, Muscle, and Mind Power :D

Great question.

Re: 5th Edition

I wish I could but I can't open RAR files from work. I will have to get to it tomorrow or this weekend.

But can you tell us about your experience Cole?

Re: 5th Edition

From what I know it's official name is just "Dungeons and Dragons". They have dropped the D&D Next moniker. Though Jaded is right, it is unofficially referred to as 5th edition for clarity. I agree with Crasez in that I have heard they have gone through some major effort to make this t...

5th Edition

I don't see any threads on here about this yet. Maybe there was a rule and we aren't allowed to talk about this? I also see no 4E subforums.

If we ARE allowed to talk about this, what does everyone think about it? Has anyone done the beta test?

Disney Movies Ranked - With Frozen

I just finished Frozen. It was a lot of fun, but does not make my top 10 Disney movies. Here are mine: 1. Robin Hood 2. Sleeping Beauty 3. The Sword in the Stone 4. Beauty and the Beast 5. Tangled 6. Aladdin 7. Treasure Planet 8. Rescuers Down Under 9. The Jungle Book 10. Peter Pan To see a list of ...

Magic the Gathering

There may already be some folks on here who have a thread about this, but I didn't see it with a once-over. Anyone here play? If so, for how long? Anyone here who used to play? What do you think about MtG? What formats do you play, if any? I have been playing steadily for 4 years now. It was this in...

Here Come the Mummies. In Peoria IL, it was at a small venue. Tons of fun. Hope I get to see them again.

Re: PCs and raise dead/resurrection?

Strange you say that TSD, since when i raise that point on the foot, many seem to feel PC's can ignore the same restrictions an NPC would be beholden too, just cause they "Are PCS".. Yeah, I have never had much tolerance for that kind of attitude. A player that thinks their character can ...

Re: Back!

2E Night Below, the DM just loves Dragonlance, and figures once NB is done we might adventure out into the world. He also wanted to try out moon phase tracking, and a new calendar system and thought that this would be a good fit. I am quite pumped. He is more RP oriented than combat, which should he...

Re: PCs and raise dead/resurrection?

Ugh. I hate both of those spells, and especially hate the idea that PC's can continually cast them. I really prefer if this is something that is outside of the realm of possibility. Without fear of death, and instead replacing it with the fear of cost (lost con, or play time, etc) I really think an ...

Re: 1e or 2e.. Wizard eye and gaze attacks

I would definitely have the gaze effect transfer. I would do the same for clairvoyance. If you're seeing it, you're vulnerable. Distance and magical means are no exception. I could see allowing for an "Improved Wizard Eye" that wouldn't allow harmful effects to trasnfer.

Re: Who is actually Gaming?

I am playing as: Vahnomander - Atlantean (think a world's very rare version of Elven, only immortal instead of long lived, and sans elven features... also has an XP penalty) Fighter-Mage. A character inspired by Anomander Rake of Steven Ericsson's Malazan: Book of the Fallen. Playing in a homebrew. ...

Re: Back!

Also, an update on the Night Below I started... it looks like a fun group. 6PC's. Human Thief, Half-Elven Mage, Elven Ranger, Barbarian Cleric, Knight of Solamnia, and me: Dwarven Fighter Thief named Brutus J. Hardknocks, a gruff cuss out for the money. Should be interesting, set in the Dragonlance ...
