Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"Thank you, then shall we go?" Taking a bladder he waits to leave.
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
On the ship:
"Jerrard, Locky and Imani have all proven they can take care of themselves" Babushka tries to reassure the men. "Even if the Captain had returned to the point where we parted, we would not have been able to help them. The real problem will be how we can rejoin them. Just finding them will be difficult. We have no way to communicate with them - unless..." she thinks for a moment.
"My mentor talked to me about people able to speak with animals. He told me that is a skill bestowed by some gods on very experienced rangers or on their priest. Perhaps we can find someone in a harbor temple who can talk to the dolphin. And if not, hopefully the dolphin will either be patient enough to follow us when we are on shore or on another boat. Or get impatient and return to the sea elves, who will question it."

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"I'm ready, Oh riding the Seals is sooooo much fun." Taking a water bladder she grasps the two humans by the hand and walks to the cave entrance.

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
Imani takes the potion in the bladder so that she can breathe under water, and goes with the rest of the group.
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
Once the kender, two humans, and elf have consumed the potions; and Imani and Temeral have donned their new rings, the party follows the three Dimernesti back into the water. They lead the party to the dragon's cave once more in the total darkness of the bottom of the sea. Only Temeral and Locky can see anything at all, leaving the humans to depend on them to find their way.
Once properly escorted, the leader nods to them. "We will await your return, and try to buy you more time should the dragon arrive," he says, somehow being able to speak underwater. The three then swim off.

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
Imani gives a slow nod to the sea elves, and motions to Locky and Jerrard to make their moves. There really wasn't anything she could do.
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
Motioning to Locky Jerrard points to the cave entrance, getting ready to cast the spell from the scroll. He taps Temeral on the shoulder, and points behind them, before taking Imani round the waist.
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
Locky moves as quick as she can towards the back of the cave, looking for the bars.

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
She keeps her eyes open, looking for anything that might be in her way, mindful of the warning that there might be traps around.

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
Imani looks to Jerrard in question as she is suddenly pulled close to him. She looks a little uncertain about being so close to a mage that is getting ready to cast a spell.
Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
Fortunately, Seera had cast a simple Light spell on a small stone for Jerrard before she departed, otherwise the wizard would not have been able to read the scroll at all.
Luckily, the person who first designed the spell was quite clever, as it can be cast even when underwater. So that was not a problem. What was a problem--potentially a deadly one at that--was what Jerrard neglected to warn his friends about. The spell was beyond his ability to normally cast, which means there was a chance it would fail to work...or possibly backfire horribly. If the spell did backfire, whatever the result, it would likely engulf Imani, as well, since the wizard insisted on keeping the poor woman pressed against him.
Fortunately, this turns out to be a moot point. The fledgling wizard manages to cast the spell properly without any problem. The tablet at once disintegrates into a mass of bubbles, which then start to merge together to form one large bubble. The bubble expands, until it is ten feet in radius, encircling Jerrard and anyone near him entirely. This spell should last about an hour, perhaps longer.
Meanwhile, Locky approaches the cave's mouth and starts looking for any traps. She spends several minutes searching, but comes up with nothing.
Meanwhile, back on the ship, many miles away, Ulster nods to Babushka. "Well, we're going to the Silvanesti homeland. There's bound to be a ranger or two there, right?" he asks.
=========
Jerrard attempts to cast Airy Water from a scroll with a 25% chance of failure (1d100): 84, the spell does not fail or backfire.
Locky searches for traps at the cave mouth (1d100): (Roll result kept secret.) Locky does not find any traps.

On the ship:
Babushka nods to Ulster. "Yes, there are likely to be powerful rangers there. The question is how much their service will cost, and if they're willing to help us at all." Then she shrugs. "It seems we have no choice anyway, so why worry?"
She goes to the back castle and looks for the dolphin. Is it still in sight, following them?

"Well, that worked better than I hoped." He says with a smile, releasing Imani, "Stay within the bubble and you can talk, with the ring you can fight." Moving the bubble with him he stands by Locky, engulfing her.
"Is it clear?" He asks, when the Kender agrees he nods, "Ok shall we move inside?" Keeping an eye on Temeral he motions for him to follow them.

Re: Voyage of the Horizon Seeker
"Well it looks like its clear, I cant really see anything, but then I have never looked for traps underwater." She beams, "What a lovely spell, such a good idea, I didn't realise you were that powerful!" Grinning she waits and then joins the group entering the cave, her fingers crossed.
" Kid never learned to clear a room. Doors and corners, I told him. Doors and corners."
